School Clubs & Activities
There is fun to be had and learning to take place after the school bell rings! After school, students may participate in clubs and activities that peak their interest to try something new or continue building their skills. Club and activities are lead by teachers, parents, or outside instructors.
Lightning Athletics
After-school Lightning athletics begin in 5th Grade and are open to all student athletes with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. All sports are no-cut and teams are coached by parents who love to share their passion for the sport. They are dedicated to developing players’ skills and teamwork to promote sportsmanship.
St. Lucy participates in the Diocese of San Jose Catholic Athletic League (DSJCAL): West Division, playing several other schools in our area.
Extended Day Care (EDC)
We offer EDC for students in grades Pre-K through 8th Grade. Little Lightning Pre-K students may begin their day early or continue the day in the Pre-K classroom, giving them room to run and play. Students in Kinder through 8th Grade meet in the EDC facility and play on the playground, basketball courts and field, while also offering a place for students to work on homework. Students are always welcome to spend an afternoon in EDC!
EDC:
$8/hour and $4/half hour, billed monthly according to hours attended
Monday – Friday
Before school: 7:00am – Morning Assembly
After school: Dismissal – 6:00pm
Campus Life
Morning Assembly
Each morning, our students, faculty, and parent community gather to begin the day. Each week, a different class has the opportunity to lead the student body in prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, announcements, and to celebatrate the birthday of each student. It’s a great way to begin the day and keep us connected as a community!
School Spirit
Spirit rallies, snack shack, student appreciation, a talent show, and more! Our Student Council keeps the school spirit high, but it’s not Student Council who bring all the fun… faculty also plan celebrations for holidays, class milestones, and field trips!
