Each year, St. Lucy School asks for support for the Lighting the Way Annual Fund, which helps close the gap between tuition and the true cost of a St. Lucy education. The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of St. Lucy School’s development efforts and directly supports our mission.

Why is the Annual Fund Important?
The Annual Fund is St. Lucy School’s most important annual initiative, as tuition alone does not cover the cost of educating a St. Lucy student. The Annual Fund supports all program areas at St. Lucy School, from instructional materials to maintaining a safe and inspiring environment to empowering our passionate faculty.

On December 13, the St. Lucy School community will come together in support of our students. This year, our Day of Giving goal is $200,000, and every gift raised will contribute to our Annual Fund.

Annual Fund FAQs
Who participates in the Annual Fund?
Everyone in the St. Lucy community is invited to participate in the Annual Fund! Parents, grandparents, alumni, parents of alumni, faculty, former faculty, and parishioners all come together to support St. Lucy students each year.
Why not raise tuition to cover all costs?
St. Lucy School is committed to making a Catholic education accessible for families. Donations made to the Annual Fund help us keep tuition at a competitive rate in relation to local private schools. Additionally, the Annual Fund provides an opportunity for families to make a tax-deductible contribution, which would not be possible by charging the full cost of education.
How much should I give?
There is no single right amount to give. We encourage families to make a gift that is meaningful and appropriate for their circumstances. Every gift, no matter the size, is important to achieving our goal and makes an immediate impact for our students.
Does my gift really make a difference?
Yes! Every gift contributes to the commitment and strength of our community. Annual giving is not only about the amount raised; it is also about participation. When the St. Lucy community comes together, we demonstrate a shared mission for our St. Lucy students.
Does St. Lucy School host any appreciation events for donors?
Yes! Each spring, we invite donors who give a gift of $500 or more to the Principal’s Circle Donor Reception to show our gratitude for their generosity.
